The Netherlands has a strong international position in the development of photonics. Photonic technology contributes to solving societal challenges in a broad range of sectors like: ICT, manufacturing semicon, health, agri-food, environment & energy. To intensify and accelerate these fields of application in the Netherland we publish the National Agenda Photonics today.
Key technology as a solution for societal challenges
This Agenda was developed at the request of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy by PhotonicsNL, the Dutch Optics Centre and PhotonDelta, with contributions from a broad range of companies and institutes.
The agenda describes how the Netherlands can maintain and strengthen its position internationally the coming years.
Today Benno Oderkerk, chairman PhotonicsNL, presented the National Agenda Photonics to Mona Keijzer, State Secretary for Economic Affairs and Climate.
